I owned a coffee shop and we only used Fiorenzato's. Every other grinder had issues over time even those that were double the price. The Fiorenzato's were amazing and never failed. For home use it will last literally forever. Thank you for the review on the features. The retention is probably the most concerning item, but you can manual out a little before using and it should all be good.

About 6 or 7 years ago I entered the world of specialty coffee, and recently I was able to get my wife to like my coffee, but with milk and some sweetener hahahaha I have a long way to go before she likes black, I may never achieve it, but I keep trying. Very funny video!!

Just curious which burr set was used? And was the season ing needed for the taste profile? I tried the hypernova ultra s and thought the burrs gave a balanced taste with clarity and some body. immediately though likely they will get better. However I tried the hypernova iridescent burrs and I'm thinking they need seasoning as not much clarity comes thru.

As a coffee enthusiast, I know I can be quite a handful for people who don't care about coffee as much. I'm very blessed to have a considerate and understanding girlfriend who supports this costly and space-consuming hobby. It truly is a lifelong journey that requires good communication and careful decision-making to keep everything running smoothly.

May i know why you choose linea mini r as your home espresso machine? Considering cheaper competitor that have tons more advance features? I also wanna buy one but somehow find it hard to find justification around forums and comments.Thank you

I had a smile on my face throughout the video because my partner and I have been on a similar journey from a blade grinder and a double walled basket espresso machine to a half decent grinder and a slightly better home machine, and where I want to go from here but have remained on the same page about my hobby and how much we want to spend on it. My fiance has been along for my coffee journey and ending up buying a lightly used (once a week for half a year” breville barista express for 200 on marketplace. Her reasoning was the bags of coffee are a small luxury that is affordable but feels nice for me, and she knew the PROCESS of making a latte or pour over helps with my anxiety. Routines and structures give me balance and focus within my mind. She saw how if I was short on time and my dedica didn’t pull correctly how I could become “off” the rest of the day. Not angry or mean but off. The realization of that caused her to want to encourage me to take my hobbies. Find a partner that NOTICES you for you is a big one

My girlfriend of 8 years doesn’t drink coffee. I buy all my gear from my own ‘pocketmoney’ as well as the coffee every month. I got ‘permission’ for the Niche Zero on the counter but all my other gear, incl. a Cafelat Robot live in a cupboard. The dynamic of me drinking coffee and my girlfriend not, makes it maybe a bit easier. My girlfriend is very into healthy, organic and sustainable foods and buying better coffee that also benefits the farmer more is appreciated. Although my girlfriend doesn’t drink coffee, so would love to see like the LMLM on the counter lol.

I started out the same way. Now I just went out and bought a roaster. Ordered $40 of green beans from Sweet Maria’s. And now I am roasting my own coffee. And I am enjoying it and I am learning a lot about it

Well done, I think this is a great video and many will benefit from it. My wife and I met later in life, so we have his, hers, and ours. Our hobbies come from our own funds, so it's not so much of an issue - however, we still need to discuss counter space! Early on in my hobby, I took some hints from James Hoffman, and I stayed away from Espresso (as part of my hobby). I like to go deep, so that decision has saved me thousands of dollars in equipment and also a great deal of coffee dialing in. As you know filter coffee can be very delicious, and I enjoy more liquid so I have no regrets about staying on this path. During SCA 2024 (where I bumped into you) I bought a sample roaster, so now I am roasting my own specialty coffee, and if you don't count the cost of the roaster (my wife just rolled her eyes), the price I pay for great coffee has been reduced. Thanks again, and keep up the good work, I love your channel.
